About Our Lab-Grown Diamonds & Jewelry

  1. Do you offer mined diamonds, or only lab-grown?

We are proud to exclusively offer ethically-sourced, affordable lab-grown diamonds on our website.

  2. What is a lab-grown diamond?

A lab-grown diamond, also known as man-made, lab-created, cultured, or cultivated diamond, is created in a controlled laboratory environment rather than mined underground. This process is human-controlled, making it an impeccable and cost-effective alternative to mined diamonds.

  3. Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds are genuine diamonds in every aspect. They share identical physical, chemical, optical, and atomic properties with mined diamonds, differing only in their place of origin, being created above ground. Lab-grown diamonds are undeniably real diamonds. In contrast, diamond simulants like moissanites and cubic zirconia lack the same chemical and physical properties as mined diamonds and are not genuine diamonds.

  4. How are lab-grown diamonds created?

Lab-grown diamonds begin with a diamond 'seed' cultivated in a carbon-rich environment within a sophisticated growth chamber. Utilizing our exclusive growth technique, the seed transforms into a rough diamond. Skilled craftsmen then plan, laser-cut, polish, and finish the diamond, mirroring the process for mined diamonds, resulting in a stunning, sparkling gemstone.

  5. Are your lab-grown diamonds ethically-sourced?

Yes, our lab-grown diamonds are ethically-sourced. Being man-made in our controlled laboratory setting, they are 100% conflict-free and do not involve the excavation of tons of earth. We adhere to all local labor laws, including child labor regulations, ensuring that our lab-grown diamond production is free from supporting violence, warlords, corrupt governments, or any other human rights abuses.

  6. How do you indicate carat total weight, and what are the tolerances?

We display all our diamond carat total weights (ctw) as fractions in the product name and also as decimals in the product details. These fractions follow the Federal Trade Commission guidelines for diamond fractions and industry best practices. For details on our diamond carat total weight (ctw) tolerances.

  7. Do you certify the lab-grown diamonds?

We provide a certification card from one of the world's most reputable independent certification companies, including IGI (International Gemological Institute) and GIA (Gemological Institute of America), for all center stones purchased through our Design Your Ring program. Certification cards are also provided for all other jewelry containing a center stone (or matched pairs) of 3/4 carat or larger.

  8. What does HPHT and CVD mean in lab-grown diamonds?

    • HPHT stands for High Pressure High Temperature.
    • CVD stands for Chemical Vapor Deposition.

  9. Are your lab-grown diamonds laser inscribed?

Yes, we laser inscribe all lab-grown diamonds that are 0.50 carats and larger.

  10. Can I buy a loose lab-grown diamond?

Absolutely! We offer thousands of loose diamonds available for purchase. Additionally, our robust filters can help you find the perfect one for your needs.

  11. How do you match the side stones to the center stones?

Our diamond experts match side stones based on the quality of the center diamond you select. For jewelry designed by us, the product page typically displays the quality of the side diamonds.

  12. What metal types do you offer?

Our jewelry is expertly crafted in 14K gold or platinum. Most gold items are available in white, yellow, and rose gold color options. You can select your preferred metal type and color on the product page for all items.

  13. Are all white gold rings rhodium plated?

Yes, we use rhodium plating on our white metals, such as white gold. Rhodium plating enhances the metal's luster and durability, providing a smooth, shiny finish to the jewelry. This practice is standard in the jewelry industry.

  14. Is the jewelry stamped?

Yes, we comply with the National Stamping Act's legal requirement to stamp silver and gold jewelry. We adhere to the Federal Trade Commission's stamping guidelines, which indicate the metal quality and our trademark. For instance, a 14-karat gold item is stamped as 14K, and most of our jewelry features the GB stamp for Grown Brilliance. Jewelry containing lab-grown diamonds also includes LGD in the stamp. The stamp is typically located inside the ring band, either on the right or left side. If it's not visible to the naked eye, we recommend using a magnifier or jeweler's loupe.

  15. Can I engrave my ring?

Many of our engagement rings and wedding bands can be engraved. If engraving is available for an engagement ring, you'll find the option to add it on the product page or in the shopping cart, possibly with a small fee.
